Strawberry Milkshake Saves The Day~

In the MRT now, with CS (Hubby), beside me. We took the train from City Hall to Marina Bay so as we can grab seats. Lol, I know, we are lazy, but isn’t it the same with everybody?

Anyway, it was really fun today, cuz funny stuff happened. You seriously cannot believe it! Remember my last entry? Hubby had lost his voice and can’t talk, the poor dear. But guess what? Seriously, you will not think of it even in a hundred years. Ok, so this is what happened~

Remember that I said that we were going to grab dinner? I wanted to get some ice-cream, so I suggested Swensens. We were unsure where was the nearest outlet, so Hubby suggested the Bugis one. But then Jase said that there was one at Marina Square, and so, heeding his words, we went along to Marina Square. However, when we were at MS, he suddenly said that he was mistaken and there wasn’t an outlet there. We were so ready to hit him already. I then suggested that we take a look at the directory to see where else we could go.

So Qi found it and we proceeded to the place. Then Jase suggested that we go Café Cartel, which was right beside Swensens. I agreed to go cuz seriously? It was my first time there. XP We went in, grabbed seats, and proceeded to order. Since Qi was meeting up her friends for dinner later, she only ordered a truffle cheesecake. I was hungry and since it was my first time there, I ordered the pork ribs set. Jase had the fish and chips and Hubby just ordered a strawberry milkshake.

As we were waiting for our orders, Qi and I went to the toilet to freshen up. As we were on our way out, Jase called Qi and said that there were no more truffles so they can’t make the cheesecake (or something like that), so she had to order something else and she said that she’ll take a brownie then.

Waiting for the order and we were chatting happily. Jase’s 7-Up and Hubby’s strawberry milkshake arrived first, and they started drinking. I wanted a taste of the milkshake, so I did and as usual, when a girl drinks from a guy’s straw, the “噢, 间接接吻啊!”(Oh, indirect kissing!) comes along and stuff. Lol, seriously, I drink the stuff of most of my friends as long as they allow. Come on, Yee Wai and I share drinks EVERY Saturday, I kid you not.

Anyway, I just didn’t care and went along to drink it. And you will not believe it! The milkshake was so nice! It was really sweet, but it was really good. The sourness of the strawberry and the stubble sweetness of the vallina ice cream were perfect! But for those that can’t take sweet stuff, I do not recommend it. ^^

Then Jase and my food arrived and guess what? They were HUGE portions! Seriously, my pork rib was a whole rack of it. Wow! And there were generous servings of fries and coleslaw as sides.

As Jase and I started on the food, Qi was patiently waiting for her brownie. However, even when Jase and I were halfway through with ours, hers still haven’t arrived. Finding it weird, we asked one of the waiters and she explained that they though we wanted it as a dessert, therefore, it will only be served AFTER we finish the main course.

So we told her that we want it now and she went to get it. When it came to us, I got a huge surprise. Because the serving was again, HUMONGOUS. Seriously, two pieces of brownie with creamy chocolate smeared all over the top, a scoop of vallina ice cream, and chocolate decorating the food and plate. OMG, love the serving of that place.

So we were happily eating our stuff when suddenly, Hubby bend over and were pressing his fingertips against his throat as if in pain. Worried, we started to ask if he was ok and I keep patting his back, afraid that he had chocked on the milkshake or something. That is when he suddenly sat up and croaked “我的声音回来了.”(My voice is back.) And guess what immediately came out of my mouth? It was

Oh Fuck…

I am serious. Those were the first words that came out. Now that I think of it, what’s so bad that I need to say ‘Oh Fuck’? *Sigh* But I did and his voice miraculously recovered after 5 days of it. {OT} Lol, he said that his mum boiled soup for him the past 5 days. One day ten bowls, so in total 50 bowls. If that is not enough to scare you? It was the SAME soup. Seriously. {End OT} Lol, so all of us were so surprised. Then Hubby said “那个milkshake救了我一命, 喝了就没有事了!” And from then on, we deemed the Strawberry Milkshake of Café Cartel as the life saver.

I mean, come on, when your friend’s voice is lost for almost a week and then suddenly comes back when he drink milkshake, you will deem it as the life saver. *shrugs* It was kind of like a miracle nonetheless. Hubby ordered another cup of strawberry milkshake after that. I ordered a chocolate one~ =X

So after a while more of talking, Qi had to go off to meet her friends and there was only Jase, Hubby and I left. We continued talking. I was only until about 7.50? When we left that place. I know it should be somewhere around there cuz I saw Mr and Mrs Smith on the television. When we left, it was playing the scene where they first met. The hotel and they were dancing.

We decided to go home since it was quite late then, so Hubby asked me which way I wanted to go. {Explanation}Hubby lives at Yew Tee, while I live at Bukit Gombak so we go home on the same way. {End} I couldn’t decide so I suggested that we played ‘Scissors, Paper, Stone’. If he wins, we go the long way, if I win, we go the short way. So we did and he won, so we decided to go the long way.

Jase saw the whole thing and he might have mistaken me for saying ‘I win long way, Hubby win short way’ so he said “噢, 你是要他陪你旧一点对吗?” but then I explained to him that he was mistaken. Lol, he thought that I was lying and kept saying the same thing over and over. So trying to defend myself, I wanted a rematch. But the surprising thing was that Hubby declined and I looked at Jase and said “你看! 不是我要的!是Hubby要的”, and we both laughed before continuing on.

We on the way to the MRT station, and we had to pass through glass doors. Guess what? I was almost HIT. That was cuz Hubby was walking in front of me and Jase and when he opened the door, he forgot about us and didn’t hold it. On the other hand, Jase knew he wouldn’t and did reach out to hold it while silly little me thought he would and was almost smacked due to that.

Anyway, Hubby said that he wanted to go to HMV and so we did. Seriously, I have a deprived life. Can you believe that it was the second or third time that I stepped into that place? I always heard that HMV had the CDs of almost every band in there so I decided to go look for some that most of you would have not heard of.

{Daryl Onii-Chan} I know you would laugh when you see this and I think that you would probably know by now what is the bands that I am looking for. {End} They were Nightwish and Within Temptation. Anyone heard of them? If you have, please tell me because we would probably have much to talk about. XP

So I did find them, and was so happily dancing around and wanted to take a picture of the CD cover, but then Hubby said that we can’t do that, so I had to quite sadly, put it back and went on to the games sections with them.

Hubby said that there was nothing much to see, so we continued on to the MRT. So this is where the post kind of starts from the beginning. We took the MRT from City Hall to Marina Bay and waited while the train goes the long way and take up to Yew Tee and Bukit Gombak.
